1. How Do I Listen to WKSU?

WKSU broadcasts at 89.7 FM. The signal can also be heard on WKRW at 89.3 in Wooster, on WKRJ at 91.5 in New Philadelphia, on WKSV at 89.1 in Thompson, on 90.7 WNRK in Norwalk, on translator W298BA at 107.5 in Boardman, and on in the Ashland area over translator 95.7 FM from W239AZ.

3. What Are WKSU’s Business Hours?

WKSU’s business hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

4. Where Are the WKSU Studios Located?

The main WKSU broadcast facility is located on the corner of E. Summit St. and Loop Rd. on the campus of Kent State University in Kent, OH. The station also operates news bureaus in Cleveland in the Hanna Building and in Canton’s Cultural Center for the Arts.

5. How is the Station Connected to Kent State University?

WKSU is a service of Kent State University in the division of University Relations and Development. The station began broadcasting from the campus on Oct. 2, 1950.

6. What is Public Radio?

WKSU is a non-profit radio station that relies on support from listeners and the Northeast Ohio community. The station is affiliated with National Public Radio (NPR), Public Radio International (PRI), and the Associated Press (AP).

11. How Do I Find Out About a Piece of Music I Heard on WKSU?

Previously broadcast classical and folk music selections may be found listed in the playlist section of the Classical and Folk pages of wksu.org. Information on purchasing selections can be found by clicking on the title of the piece.
