One of the world's leading climate scientists says retreating glaciers offer clear evidence that climate change is happening far more quickly than anticipated. Lonnie Thompson, a researcher at the Byrd Polar Research Center at Ohio State University, has taken ice core samples from high-elevation glaciers around the world under conditions that would challenge an Everest climber. He spoke August 16th at a green energy expo in Akron.
