Ohio delegates say Palin should stay on Republican ticket

Tuesday, September 2, 2008

Right after the Ohio delegation's breakfast broke Monday, the news broke that Sara Palin's 17-year-old daughter is pregnant and planning to marry the father. But the delegates took the news in stride -- and circled their defenses around their likely vice presidential nominee. From the Republican National Convention in the Twin Cities, WKSU's M.L. Schultze has reports ...

Listener Comments:

It is important to know the birthdays of the 17 year old Palin girl and the birthday of the 18 year father of her child. If she was 16 when they were having sex and he was already 18 then he is guilty of statuatory rape.

I still do not get the Hillary thing. Lets just make sure I understand. Because Mrs. Clinton was the wife of a president, she is qulified to become president. What other experience does this womas have. We got her here in NY.(sorry), yet....I ask..."What have you done for me lately"
Mrs. Paulin has done more in her short tenur then Mrs. Clinton has done in her longer tenur. Are there more qulified..Who is to say what "qulified" is. To each person it may vary. Do not attack this woman for standing up and doing what she said she was going to do when she took office. I want to move forward on proof...not"HOPE"...not promises. We should all have hope for things in this world, for our family, children. This is not a campain promise..it is a word with feeling. It does not make a president. I "hope" the war ends. I "hope" for world peace, end to hunger and cancer....Hope IS a good thing, but it is not a campain promis that a canidate can say he can do. Mrs. Paulin has shown with her action what she can do. As I tell my chidren...."you ACTIONS speak louder then words"! I hope you understand.

We should not judge people if we have not walked in their shoes. This parent (in the spot light or not) should be allowed to deal with this with her family and her daughter. A young girl is pregnent with child and issues have to be addressed. It is not up to the media to make such decisions in the public eye......they should just stick to what has been most important to them (media) so far....what outfit is Mrs. Oboma going to where today. I do not think I can sleep till I fing our!
Lets stick to the real issues people...by the way what were they in this election?
